Go to google…..search pj,s guitar chords…and excellent site.
Also try www.wholenote.com this site looks a bit complex but there is a lessons section which is very good,if you know what you want to play,it will show you how.
Good luck….and stick at it..it is worth while.

Electric Guitar Chords?
i play electric guitar and i was wonderin if you could awnser me a question which is a little confusing and its do you need to memorize chords and be able to play them or just play them and ive got a basic chord chart and why is it that they tell me to play eveyting at the top of the guitar or can you use chords anywhere else on the guitar
admin answers:
Yes its like, i wonder that also, ive been playing for 6-7 months electric, already in a band, and we will need to memorize them “we” i need to memorize them as well, because if we go on stage and some band wants us to ply with them we would need to follow the notes that they play so it sounds good! Haha and like tthe whole thing about moving the chord somewhere else, yea you can but they want you to memorize the chord name and where it is so it will benifit you later in the future, like as an example i move the e5 and a5 chord all over the fretboard, lol. And it sounds good, so yea you can moe them through out the guitar and not the tp, but its best to get the basics,, and then experiment with sounds of those chords on other parts of the guitar, im on that stage right now, experimenting

Electric guitar chords and distortion?
I’m a new guitar player, so I don’t know if I just don’t know the right technique or what, but when I try and play chords on my electric guitar they just don’t sound right. The strings are tuned right.
Also, this is probably my 5 watt amp that came with the guitar (the definition of a mini-amp), but I can’t seem to distort the sound much, if at all. When it is distorted it doesn’t sound right and it’s very scratchy and static-y. I try and mess with the tone and gain settings, along with the knobs on the guitar itself, and they barely do anything to change the sound of the distortion.

Just try changing all the setting till it does what you want
